Certifications

Unlike doctors, psychologists, and therapists there is no standardized board for certification in most States and Countries. That’s why Allegheny Hypnosis Institute has partnered with an outside organization for our certification program. We are proud to work with the International Hypnosis Association, a certifying body that provides certification for Certified Hypnotists and Hypnotherapists in their membership, along with other certifications in the field.�

We are working hard to develop new programs and courses to help our students get the most out of their hypnosis education. Check back regularly as we continue to develop these great new programs!�

Successful completion of the course with approval of the instructor is eligible for certification and membership with The International Hypnosis Association (IHA), provided that membership and certification requirements for the IHA are met.�

Certified Hypnotist

The distinction in the field of hypnosis between hypnotist and hypnotherapist is often a debated one, but it truly comes down to regional regulations about the practice of hypnosis. For the most part, the difference is in name only. A Certified Hypnotist can accomplish all that a Certified Hypnotherapist can when they’ve had the correct training. Completion of our “Foundations & Applications of Hypnosis” Course authorizes certification for both Hypnotist and Hypnotherapist. When successfully completing the course, you will have the opportunity to choose which certification is best for you, based on your regional regulations and your desire for practice.�

Certified Hypnotherapist

A Certified Hypnotherapist simply uses the science and art of hypnosis to help clients make changes in their lives that they’ve had difficulty doing on their own. As a Certified Hypnotherapist, you will be qualified to work with many different changes in your client’s lives, including weight management, smoking cessation, pain management, and emotional regulation.�
